Group Outplacement Seminar Program
Group Outplacement Seminars are an efficient and cost-effective way to provide job search training to groups as small as six or as large as a training facility will accommodate. Depending upon the program selected, we deliver one, two or three days of intensive training by experienced job search coaches.

CPI´s Group Outplacement Seminars typically include a situation analysis with instruction on job search focus, résumé construction, personal marketing and interviewing skills. (See details on reverse.)
You may select from our one-, two- or three-day seminars. You can enhance our seminars with additional services such as individual consultation and/or office space and administrative support for 15, 30, 60 or 90 days.

The One-Day Seminar is lecture-driven and covers the basics of résumé development and conducting an effective job search. We provide an educational workbook and access to technology resources for future reference. You may also choose to include an hour of one-on-one counseling to address individual needs.

The Two-Day Seminar is an interactive workshop that includes role-playing and provides greater insight into the job search process. In
addition to the workbook we help participants develop résumés and provide them 50 copies, complete with matching stationery and envelopes. Toll-free, direct-to-consultant telephone access is available for the duration of the job search. Many clients choose to provide one to two hours of one-on-one counseling to address individual needs and priorities.

The Three-Day Seminar delivers all of the services of the two-day seminar with the addition of a day dedicated to both group and individual videotaped interview skills training. The three-day seminar typically includes three hours of one-on-one counseling.
Although each program is customized to reflect the uniqueness of the audience, the following is a general outline of key topics:
Situation Analysis: Our coaches guide participants through a discussion on unemployment and its effect on self-worth, health, relationships and personal finances.
Job Search Focus: We guide participants through a process of self- and career evaluation to help them determine whether a career continuance, adjustment or change is most desirable.
Résumé Construction, our unique area of expertise: We work diligently with individuals to turn their personal competencies, career experiences and accomplishments into a high-impact résumé.
Personal Marketing: Our coaches discuss the importance of reach, message and frequency to job-search success, and participants learn how to aggressively respond to advertisements, communicate with recruiters, develop a large network and telemarket effectively.
Interviewing: Participants learn the elements of making a good first impression and the basics of personal selling. Attention is given to personalimage, climate setting, responding to interviewer questions, asking questions that have purpose, and closing the interview with an opportunity for follow-up.
